BlackDVM Network was founded in 2018 by Dr. Tierra Price, a then veterinary student, who felt isolated in the profession. She was looking to connect with people who looked like her and find mentors she could relate to. She created BlackDVM Network to serve as a place to connect Black veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and students.
BlackDVM Network is a platform for the empowerment of Black veterinary professionals. It is our mission to create a community for Black veterinary professionals to grow, connect, find mentorship and advance veterinary medicine. We want our members to feel comfortable embracing their culture and realizing the value their uniqueness brings to our profession. We hope to help you grow personally and professionally while amplifying your voice and supporting you!
